With Help Comes Hope

Safeguarding

Safety and dignity, first and always.

The wellbeing of the people we meet, and of our volunteers, comes before everything else. This statement sets out our commitment.

Confidentiality

What is shared with us stays with us. We protect the privacy and dignity of everyone we help, without exception.

Trained volunteers

Every patrol volunteer receives training and ongoing welfare support. No one ever patrols alone.

Working with partners

We are the first point of contact on the river. We check in with the Coast Guard, and City River Rescue are tasked to any water entry.

Safe messaging

We follow Samaritans media guidelines in everything we publish: no graphic detail, and always a focus on hope and help.

Raising a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about our work or a volunteer, please contact us in confidence at [email protected].

This is a working summary for design purposes. The charity's full, legally reviewed policy will replace it before launch.
